Top Iranian official says Iran doesn’t see 'serious will' from US to finalize deal framework
A top Iranian official has cast doubts on a deal being imminently reached between the US and Iran, telling CNN major roadblocks persist on issues like Iran’s nuclear program and uranium enrichment. Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the Iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee told CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen that a “lack of trust” remains between the two sides and Tehran is yet to see a “serious will” from Washington to finalize the framework for any deal. It comes as tensions between Iran and Israel ratcheted up again after both sides traded attacks in the worst violation of the temporary ceasefire agreed in April.
