President Donald Trump said he will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, to US men’s hockey Olympic gold medalist Connor Hellebuyck. Trump also introduced the men’s hockey team to drive home an argument that the country is “winning again.” Members of the team, clad in navy American flag sweaters accessorized with their medals, entered into the press gallery and received a bipartisan standing ovation and chants of “USA!”
