With growing concerns about the safe passage of students after the detention of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said his first priority is to avoid traumatizing kids. He also acknowledged there are “a whole lot of families in the city that don’t feel safe going out of the house at all,” but he did not say what his department could do to ease their fears.
