Tarja Terentjeff shot these photos of ice balls that formed on the beach in Hailuoto, Finland, an island in the Black Sea. "The whole beach was full of these ice balls," she said. Terentjeff says she loves taking nature photos and visits the island from time to time because of its beauty. This was amazing phenomenon, never seen before. The whole beach was full of these ice balls. The island of Hailuoto is about 30 min ferry drive from city of Oulu. I took these photos today. First they have been soft balls but yesterday it was -18 and all of these were frozen, icy balls! I have no idea how phenomenon has happened! There have been a lot of moist and frost in the area right now. Today weather was amazing by the sea, no wind, nice, warm and synny Finnish November day! Sure, you can use my pictures with my name. Can I help you any other ways?
