How an Israeli outpost in the West Bank has become part of a wider cycle of violence against Palestinians

The Israeli settlement of Esh Kodesh has served as a launchpad for a yearslong campaign of violence against nearby Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank. For years the state quietly supported its expansion, until Benjamin Netanyahu’s government retroactively legalized it in December 2025. Since then, violent attacks have only escalated; part of a wider state campaign of aggressive settlement expansion. CNN's Jeremy Diamond reports.
