NVIDIA CEO donates $10 million as Nepal faces $5 billion in rebuilding costs, finance minister says
The recent deadly flash floods in Nepal have damaged 12 hydropower projects, dealing a significant blow to the country’s energy infrastructure and other critical sectors, including banking and insurance. The destruction has left the government facing an estimated $5 billion rebuilding bill, the country's Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said in an interview with CNN's Richard Quest. Nepal is receiving financial support from neighboring China and India, as well as institutions such as the World Bank and private donors, including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who donated $10 million.
