CNN journalist talks about the devastation in his home country

CNN’s director of international news and video Sugam Pokharel was supposed to visit loved ones in Nepal this December, but since catastrophic flooding swamped a China-Nepal border region he has had trouble getting in touch with some of the friends he is supposed to visit.

“This feels especially personal and difficult for me,” he told CNN on Thursday.
