Flotilla activists describe brutal treatment in Israel
Activists onboard the Global Sumud Flotilla have described being denied food, clean water and access to legal advice while being detained in Israel. Those released also said they were forced to watch images of the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and some allege that beatings and violence were common. Israel’s Foreign Ministry has called the claims ‘brazen lies’ and maintains that it upheld all legal rights of the detainees.
