
The World's Ugliest Dog Competition was held Friday, June 26, in Petaluma, California. Quasi Modo, a short-spined dog from Loxahatchee, Florida, claimed the dubious title from a group of 27 competitors.

Sweepee Rambo, a Chinese crested chihuahua, also was competing for the $1,500 cash prize -- and, the glory. She's takes pride in her baby soft freckled skin and legendary blond Mohawk, according to her bio. "Now that I'm slowing down from old age and am blind in both eyes and wear doggie depends. I am so lucky to have a dad to take good care of me."

Chinese crested Rascal Deux comes from "ugly dog royalty," according to his biography. His father, Rascal, was named World's Ugliest Dog in 2002 and made the most of it, appearing on "The Tonight Show," "The View" and other talk shows.

Pork is a 13-year-old Chihuahua from Petaluma, California. According to his contest website bio, Pork's favorite thing to do is hang out in the kitchen and scrounge for table scraps.

Andre, a 7-year-old Chihuahua, has participated in the World's Ugliest Dog Competition before. He loves to eat, sleep and play with his family, according to his bio.

Icky, a 6-year-old Chinese crested dog, shares a kiss with owner Jon Adler at the World's Ugliest Dog Contest. He was rescued from a "hoarding situation" in Butte County, California, according to his bio. He has appeared in movies, magazine covers, and recently participated in a shoot for a Ray Ban ad.

Reggie boasts a long tongue and a Mohawk that runs the length of his body. This was his seventh year vying for the title of ugliest dog, in an attempt to follow in his brother Archie's pawprints, according to his bio.

Chuy, also known as Prince Chuburto Jesus Kowell, is a hairless mix rescue dog from Tennessee. Thanks to a dose of salmon oil with each meal he has grown a respectable Afro patch of hair and black skin. "I just ignore comments about me smelling like low tide on the beach. I think it smells wonderful," according to his bio. "Basically I am thrilled to be alive."
