  • Thailand is home to <a href="index.php?page=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2Fscience%2Ftiger-population-thailand-c2e-spc-hnk">179-223 tigers</a>, predominantly living in its Western Forest Complex and the <a href="index.php?page=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwhc.unesco.org%2Fen%2Flist%2F590" target="_blank">UNESCO world heritage site</a> Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex. While the conservation work on tigers is boosting the apex predator’s numbers, the two landscapes — which span more than a dozen protected areas — are home to hundreds of other animal species, including several rare creatures that also benefit from the protection of their ecosystems and reduced threat from poaching. <strong>Look through the gallery to learn more about the creatures sharing the forest with Thailand's tigers.</strong>
