A team led by photographer Filippo Blengini has published a gigantic panoramic photograph of Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain. Here's just a portion of the image, which measures a staggering 365 gigapixels.

The team spent two weeks in the Alps, using multiple cameras to snap 70,000 high-resolution images that were then stitched together to form the sweeping panorama.

The five-person team used Canon cameras and SanDisk memory cards. They were often shooting in challenging, subzero conditions.

"We were brave, crazy and ambitious enough to think about a gigapanoramic picture, to seize every single detail of the mountain," says a statement on the project website.

The massive size of the interactive photo allows viewers to zoom way in to spot tiny details, such as these two mountaineers in the snow.

If printed out at 300 ppi, the industry standard, the photo would be about the size of a soccer field.
