Pirate battles —
Guests will be able to take boat ride inspired by "Pirates of the Caribbean -- Battle for the Sunken Treasure" and paddle through a cove featuring innovative robotics and multimedia scenes.

Adventure Isle —
Another Disney "first" for Shanghai is Adventure Isle, "a mysterious land with an ancient legend about a native tribe, a giant reptilian creature and the mighty Roaring Mountain."

Shopping sprees await —
Shanghai Disneyland promises to offer more collectibles and gifts than other Disney theme parks.

The big unveil —
In addition to the six themed lands, there will be brand new attractions at Shanghai Disneyland, including two based on Star Wars and Marvel, according to Bob Iger, Disney's chairman and CEO.

Opening next Spring —
Shanghai Disneyland broke ground in 2011 and is expected to open in Spring 2016.

Under construction —
This photo from January 2015 of the Shanghai Disneyland construction site taken by Stefan Zwanzger, AKA the Theme Park Guy, shows the scale of building work on the site.

Huge demand —
Zwangzer predicts the new Disneyland will be hugely popular and that plans for two on-site hotels could be insufficient to meet demand.
