Manhattanhenge: Every year a few weeks before and after the summer solstice, there are a couple days when the sun rises or sets in New York City parallel to the city street grid in Manhattan.

The result? Gorgeous photos from throughout the city such as here in Times Square.

Grab your camera: Manhattanhenge occurs on July 12 and 13, 2018.

Where to stand: Locals and tourists alike will often pack along 14th Street, a major thoroughfare that goes past Union Square.

Queenshenge: Despite the name, it's not only New York City's most famous borough that gets the cool views. Here's one perspective of the city from Hunters Point in Queens.

How to see it: If your trip doesn't coincide with the solstice, you can follow the #manhattanhenge hashtag on Instagram.
