Commuters across the London Bridge on Monday were met with a mosaic of colorful sidewalk tiles and a banner urging them to "Love Mondays."

A group called Spark Your City created the project as part of its "global movement dedicated to spark joy in everyday city life."

The installation brightened an otherwise dreary morning for London commuters.

The London Bridge across the Thames helps 150,000 commuters walk to work each day.

Some commuters likened the tiles to a colorful road from the "Mario Kart" video games.

The bridge art was scheduled to be up for only one day, but Spark Your City has more events planned in 50 cities in 2015.
