Cuyahoga: A ranger's favorite spots —
Check out ranger-recommended Cuyahoga Valley sites in our fourth installment of Summer in the Park. Check back next week for a look at Isle Royale National Park.

Cuyahoga Valley: A ranger's favorite spots —
Meet park ranger Margaret Adams, who has been working at Cuyahoga Valley since 1999, standing outside the park's Canal Visitor Center.

Brandywine Falls —
The 65-foot Brandywine Falls is Adams' spiritual retreat in the park. It's also a great spot for geologists and historians to explore.

The Ledges —
Visitors to the park can stroll to the Ledges from a park parking lot or see it as part of a 2.2-mile loop trail.

Beaver Marsh —
Beaver Marsh was created by beavers among the remains of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Adams also spots snapping turtles, blue herons and snakes in the area.

Indigo Lake —
Formerly a sand and gravel quarry, a tributary filled Indigo Lake with water. Now it's a great place to fish.

Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park —
Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, with its active volcanoes, is a national park on Adams' bucket list. This is a view of Halema'uma'u from Jaggar Museum Overlook as darkness falls.
