This suspended box designed by New York architect Steven Holl is home to the Sifang Art Museum, near the former Chinese capital of Nanjing.

A tunnel of densely packed bamboo leads to the entrance of this villa designed by David Adjaye.

This residence by Chilean architect Mathias Klotz has a ramp that leads up to a rooftop lily pond.

Six concrete blocks make up the residence designed by Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei.
