Stranded strangers: When their flight was canceled in December 2022, a group of strangers rented a van together and drove from Orlando, Florida to Knoxville, Tennessee. A year on, many of the group have become close friends.

Enduring friendship: "For all of us to have become as close as we are. I mean, I'd never have guessed it. I'm very thankful though, because they're all just amazing," says Laura. Pictured here: Renee, Laura, Alanah, Seth and Carlos.

'Good people': Here's Renee, Michelle and Q enjoying time together. "We're truly blessed. The fact that we did find good people -- and then it's not just one or two, it's pretty much everyone in the van," says Carlos.

Nights out: The passengers have enjoyed nights out together and weekends staying at one another's homes. Here's Laura, Alanah and Renee spending time together.

Karaoke evening: Q and Alanah enjoy karaoke singing together. "I talk to him literally like two or three times a week. That's like my brother. I love him so much. We're pretty close," Alanah says. The two also spent New Year's Eve together.

Wedding day: Laura and Carlos got married earlier this year and Alanah and Renee attended the wedding. Here's Alanah pictured with Laura, Mikayla and Carlos. "They're like family now," Alanah says. "We cut up whenever we're together, we have a really good time. And so that's what we did at their wedding. We just had a ball."

Catching up: Here's Laura, Robin and Renee hanging out.

Fun times: Renee, Alanah, Laura, Carlos and Q are photographed here at a golfing spot."It's just really cool that this happened out of a fluke of a flight getting canceled. We met these great people that we're legit still friends with," says Alanah.
