One night in London: Teenage music aficionado Brad Miele spent the summer of 1984 traveling around Europe. One night in London, Miele stumbled across the filming of Bowie's music video "Jazzin' for Blue Jean," an extended 21-minute film showcasing single "Blue Jean."

Bowie fan: Miele was a huge Bowie fan, who modeled his dress sense on Bowie, as well as collecting memorabilia and records. "It almost manifested itself for me as it was happening," recalls Miele of the moment he first encountered the film crew down a London side street.

Meeting his hero: Miele was asked to be an extra in the video, and he got to meet Bowie, which he says was surreal, but special. "He was a kind person in the interactions that I saw of him," recalls Miele. "And he was kind to me, and I think that was great."
