CNN Travel asked Andrea Todd of Burlington, Vermont, to be our unofficial ambassador of fun for her town, a title she already wears in spirit. Click through the gallery for some of her favorite places to hang out in her hometown:

For breakfast: Penny Cluse is Todd's choice for the most important meal of the day.

Penny Cluse: Todd recommends the herb gravy and biscuits, but she loves almost everything on the menu.

Old Spokes Home: This nonprofit bike shop offers opportunities as well as new and refurbished bikes for sale. Bike mechanic Dan Hock (left) helps Andrea Todd ride her bike year-round, even in the snow.

Shelburne Orchards: There are more than 50 varieties of apples to be picked in season in Shelburne, a short drive from Burlington.

It's apple season: Todd loves to hang out with Shelburne Orchards owner Nick Cowles and his daughter, Moriah.

Citizen Cider: Todd loves to stop by this local cidery after yoga and try a special cider the owners are testing at the bar.

A flight: Can't pick just one? A flight of four ciders is always an option.

Cheese please: Citizen Cider also offers cheese plates and other snacks to go with their ciders.
