
Made Nice (New York) —
Run by Daniel Humm and Will Guidara -- the pair behind three-Michelin-star Eleven Madison Park -- Made Nice promises meals based around seasonal vegetables and proteins for just $15 per person. You'll have to hang on a few more months -- it's not due to open till summer 2016.

Osteria Oggi (Adelaide, Australia) —
At Osteria Oggi, which opened in September 2015, fresh pasta is king. Thanks to the McLaren Vale and Barossa wine regions being on the city's doorstep, top-drawer bottles are on offer at surprisingly reasonable prices too.

Coya (Dubai) —
Peruvian cuisine moves into Dubai with the 2015 opening of Coya, a restaurant that's already proved to be a big success in London. No surprise that seafood ceviche is a big draw, as are specials like the ox heart with aji spicy sauce.

Hide Yamamoto —
Macau's drive to diversify its dining options continues with Hide Yamamoto. Fish is flown in daily from Tokyo's Tsukiji market for the sushi bar, wagyu features on the robata grill and ramen is prepared with a 110-year-old technique.

The chef —
The man behind this new Macau restaurant is Japanese-born, Italian- and French-trained chef Hidemasa Yamamoto.

Frenchie (London) —
Popular Paris bistro Frenchie is set to open in London's Covent Garden this year. What's on the menu? Bistro classics, house-smoked fish and charcuterie are among the highlights.

Maison 1888 (Danang, Vietnam) —
Legendary French chef Pierre Gagnaire took over the InterContinental Danang Peninsula Resort's Maison 1888 restaurant last year. It serves classical French cuisine with contemporary flair that integrates global and local ingredients.

El Informal (Barcelona) —
Chef Marc Gascons' new see-and-be-seen restaurant El Informal features shared and seasonal plates made with local produce. Menu stars include honeyed gnocchi with black truffle or grilled kid goat with herb-infused oils.

Cozinha Artagao (Rio de Janeiro) —
Chef Pedro de Artagao, behind other popular restaurants across town, has another success on his hands thanks to new venue Cozinha Artagao. Menu highlights include 12-hour roast beef, gorgonzola pasta and gnocchi made from cassava.

Le Bon Saint Pourcain (Paris) —
David Lanher's latest venture is a compact and typically Parisian neighborhood bistro, serving down-home cuisine. Since opening in the summer, Le Bon Saint Pourcain has already won plenty of local and international fans alike for its no-nonsense but artful plates.
