"Three Pillars -- Practice, Patience & Luck!" won Pier Mane the Up and coming underwater photographer of the year award.

Marty Engels Dunmore's "Fired Up and 'Almost' Ready to Go" shows an old diving compressor at the Kittiwake wreck in Grand Cayman.

Mike Korostelev used a protective cage when he captured "Underwater Fisherman," of a brown bear fishing in Russia

Wrecks —
Thomas Heckmann captured "A Family Affair," which shows a shipwreck with the island of Curacao in the background. He got this shot while swimming with his young daughter, Maja.

Behaviour —
"Turtle Eating Jellyfish" by Richard Carey shows a green turtle eating a mosaic jellyfish during an early morning dive in the Similan Islands off Thailand.

British waters wide angle —
"Part of the Illusion" by Marcus Blatchford was taken in The National Dive and Activity Centre, the deepest inland dive center in the United Kingdom.

British Waters Compact —
Paul Colley caught a lucky break with "Hello Ducky!" while using a home-made pole-cam to photograph trout during a yearlong river project. A raft of Mallard ducks were attracted by the food used to lure the trout to the camera.
