In 2007, Porsche turned to Egon Zweimüller for the restoration of one of Wolfgang Porsche's classic cars -- the rare 1932 Austro Daimler Bergmeister sports cabriolet -- with the intention of giving it to the prestigious Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

In 2007, Porsche turned to Egon Zweimüller for the restoration of one of Wolfgang Porsche's classic cars -- the rare 1932 Austro Daimler Bergmeister sports cabriolet -- with the intention of giving it to the prestigious Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

Zweimüller's approach is straightforward: "I want to restore a car to factory delivery status -- to be exactly the same as the day it left the factory," he says.

At one million pieces, his is the largest archive of its kind in Europe, and priceless because it's not digitized. It includes, for example, 20 of the notebooks that Ferdinand Porsche used to jot down ideas about various car projects.
