Burton Agnes Hall features a Great Hall with Elizabethan carving, plasterwork and paneling. The long oak table is made from three 18-feet long pieces; it was, and on occasion still is, used for dining.

According to legend, The King's bedroom is named to commemorate the time King James I of England spent the night at Burton Agnes, while traveling from Edinburgh to London for his coronation at Westminster Abbey on July 25, 1603. The 17th century Italian bed still features some of the original blue damask. The walnut chest at the back of the bedroom is early 18th century and dates from the reign of Queen Anne.
