In recent years, homeowners across America have fundamentally shifted how they think about where they live. What once meant a weekend project with borrowed tools has evolved into something more intentional—rethinking the basement, building out the backyard with a new deck, or adding a plunge pool that turns outdoor space into an extension of daily life.

Since it was founded in 2007, home improvement brand Vevor has grown to serve approximately 20 million global users looking for professional results at the fraction of the professional price, supplying the kind of capable, multi-functional equipment that empowers ordinary households to take on projects with confidence.

Building the future

In a climate where budgets are being stretched, the value of doing it yourself, and doing it well, has found a new kind of relevance for everyday households. U.S. home improvement spending has remained resilient even as broader consumer sentiment has tightened, reflecting the strength of a market that now accounts for nearly 40% of the global DIY home improvement space. Already worth nearly $1 trillion, this segment is projected to grow to $1.29 trillion by 2031.

Aging housing stock, labor shortages, and rising service costs have made DIY a practical choice for budget-conscious families, while a younger generation of homeowners is bringing fresh energy and ambition to the category. Social media inspiration and seamless online-to-store shopping have lowered the barrier to entry further still, shortening the distance between an idea and a finished project.

It is a shift that Vevor has built its entire catalogue around. The brand’s products are designed for what it calls the ‘Home Creator’—someone who actively builds, repairs, upgrades, and improves it, whether that means restoring furniture, reconfiguring a garage, or tackling exterior repairs. Across home improvement, garage organization, outdoor and yard work, heating and ventilation, plumbing, and gardening, Vevor’s multi-functional range is designed to keep pace with the evolving needs of a modern household.

Taking root in communities

For most of its history, Vevor’s presence in the U.S. market has been primarily digital. That is beginning to change. In March 2026, Vevor opened its first American brick-and-mortar store in Houston, Texas—a 31,977-square-foot (2,970 square meters) space chosen for the city’s large base of homeowners, contractors, and business owners, as well as its strategic position as a logistics hub. The store features dedicated demonstration areas where customers can interact with products directly before purchasing—a phygital approach that blends physical experience with digital accessibility.

“As more customers want to see, test, and understand tools before buying, this store helps bridge that gap by offering hands-on product experiences while maintaining the accessibility and value customers expect from Vevor,” says Gavin Wu, brand director at Vevor.

The Houston store is also set to host product training sessions, DIY workshops, and creator-led activities, reflecting a retail model built around education, community, and meeting customers wherever they are in their creation journey.

Beyond the storefront

Vevor’s community orientation was already evident before Houston. In December 2025, it partnered with Remainders Creative Reuse in Pasadena, California, hosting a hands-on workshop for local makers and donating ten heat press machines to community creators. The event’s participants wasted no time putting the tools to use, walking away with new skills and one-of-a-kind pieces of self-expression, from customized t-shirts and tote bags to upcycled thrifted denim.

“We believe everyone should have the equipment and confidence to transform ideas into tangible creations,” says Wu. “Our mission is to remove barriers to creativity, foster innovation, and inspire a new generation of home creators to explore, experiment, and build with purpose.”

For a brand still relatively early in its U.S. retail journey, the Pasadena initiative offered a glimpse of how Vevor’s place in the communities it serves, alongside the makers, upcyclers, and small business entrepreneurs building something of their own.

By making professional-grade equipment accessible to everyday households and showing up in the communities where those households live, Vevor is helping families and local creators invest in a more self-sufficient way of living—one project, one home, and one community at a time.
