A total lunar eclipse, or blood moon, made the satellite glow red on Tuesday across Asia, Australia, the Pacific and the Americas.
Often referred to as a blood moon, the event occurs when Earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow on the satellite’s surface and causing it to appear crimson.
This eclipse was the last of three consecutive total lunar eclipses; the first occurred in March 2025 and the second took place in September 2025.
You can look at some images from this latest eclipse in this gallery. But don't hold your breath for the next one, as it won’t occur until December 31, 2028.
