The Primetime Emmy Awards, which honor the best in American television, were handed out Sunday night in Los Angeles.

“Shōgun,” the historical drama based on James Clavell’s bestselling novel, was one of the night’s big winners, taking home the Emmy for outstanding drama series. It also won lead acting awards for both Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai.

Another FX show, “The Bear,” took home three acting Emmys, with star Jeremy Allen White winning outstanding lead actor in a comedy series and Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Liza Colón-Zayas winning for their supporting roles.

The Netflix show “Baby Reindeer” won the Emmy for outstanding limited series, anthology or TV movie. Creator Richard Gadd also won writing and acting Emmys earlier in the night, and supporting actress Jessica Gunning also won.

The award show ended with Max show “Hacks” winning the Emmy for outstanding comedy series. Its star, Jean Smart, collected another Emmy as well for lead actress.

Show co-hosts Eugene and Dan Levy are <a href="index.php?page=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2Fentertainment%2Flive-news%2Femmy-awards-levy-09-15-24%23h_d2bc847ec420640a2f49eda74d6542ca">joined by their former "Schitt's Creek" co-star Annie Murphy</a> before another co-star, Catherine O'Hara, presented the final award of the night.
