Students in Uvalde, Texas, returned to school Tuesday, three months after a mass shooting took the lives of 19 students and two teachers.
But survivors will never return to the building where the massacre took place. Robb Elementary School will be demolished, Uvalde's mayor said.
It's not clear when the school will be razed and whether it will be replaced with another school or a memorial or other building.
In the meantime, students will attend classes at other schools in the district. Some families who still don't feel comfortable returning are transferring to other districts or opting for online classes.
