The Rev. C.T. Vivian, a civil rights leader who participated in the Freedom Rides and worked alongside Martin Luther King Jr., was honored in Atlanta on Wednesday.
After lying in state at the Capitol, Vivian was taken to King's tomb by a horse-drawn carriage.
Vivian, who former President Barack Obama called "a pioneer who pulled America closer to our founding ideals," died Friday at the age of 95. He will be buried Thursday in a private ceremony.
