Photo taken on July 6, 2016 shows large amounts of trash has been washing up on Hong Kong beaches in recent days.

Environmentalists say the amount of trash is "unprecedented."

Labels and packaging seem to indicate much of the trash comes from mainland China.

According to Sea Shepherd, one of the culprits may be this trash dump on Wai Ling Ding island south of Hong Kong, photographed on July 4.

The tiny island is part of China's Zhuhai municipality.
