Matt Harmon went from being overweight and not caring about his health to being completely committed to lifestyle changes that helped him drop nearly 100 pounds.

In high school, Harmon hid his insecurities and pain behind playing the role of the "funny fat friend" who was relatable and could be a social chameleon accepted by everyone.

At his heaviest, Harmon, second from right, weighed 315 pounds during his junior year in college.

When he graduated from college in May 2013, Harmon weighed 285 pounds after making small changes, but he didn't stick with them.

After committing to a lifestyle change in December 2013, Harmon focused on a strict diet and pursuing cardio and weight training routines at the gym. He is pictured here in March 2015.

After taking his dream job as a writer for NFL.com in July, Harmon moved to Los Angeles. Part of his job includes podcasting, as seen here in December. By the end of his first NFL season, he had gained 10 pounds back but has a plan to stay fit and healthy going into his second season.

Harmon currently weighs 218 pounds and plans to continue with his healthy lifestyle change, which could mean losing more weight. Walking his dog, Charlie, has also helped keep Harmon active. They visited Solstice Canyon in Malibu in April.
