The shelter first thought that he had lived his life in a kennel, but the pup was later diagnosed with short spine syndrome. There are only 13 dogs in the world known to have the disorder.

His genetic spine disorder only affects his ability to move his neck. He is still able to keep up with the other dogs in the yard.

Since rescuing him Thursday, Secondhand Hounds created a Facebook page for the unique pup, so people can learn about his condition and gain awareness of dogs with special needs. The page continues to gain fans.
