A stabbing victim receives assistance at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem after police say an Orthodox Jew stabbed six people Thursday, July 30. Two of the victims were injured seriously, Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said. The suspect, Yishai Shlissel, was recently released from prison for committing a similar crime 10 years ago.

Schlissel walks through the parade area just before he pulled a knife from under his coat and start stabbing people, police say.

Schlissel is seen with a knife in his hand during the parade.

Security forces reach for a knife-wielding Schlissel.

Police wrestle Schlissel to the ground and arrest him.

Shlissel is placed in handcuffs.

Paramedics load one of the victims into an ambulance.

A victim receives treatment after the stabbing.
