Jackson Gordon, wearing the Batsuit he designed and created.

The torso plates were constructed from stab-proof Kydex plastic.

The outfit has been a smash hit at comic book conventions and on Gordon's own campus.

Various matte lacquers were added and a custom designed mesh was placed over the eye sockets to provide protection.

The cowl was the hardest part to construct, first made from Sintra, sculpting clay and soft plastics.

A two part mold was then created from it, into which liquid polyurethane was poured to form the final product.

Gordon has refined the process and is now manufacturing cowls for online sale.
