These flight attendants sent a photo showing their black ribbons to a colleague at another airline who writes a blog, "Confessions of a Trolley Dolly" under the pseudonym Dan Air.

Ribbons worn across airlines, routes —
It's been one week since Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine. Fifteen crew were killed, along with 283 passengers.

Dozens killed in recent months —
The MH17 disaster came just four months after the disappearance of MH370. In all, 27 flight attendants and crew were aboard the two planes. Employees of two more airlines were killed in crashes in Taiwan and Mali this week.

Attendants carry on despite grief —
"It is difficult to imagine how the crews left behind are still managing to put on their uniforms, paint on a smile and go about their duties as normal," writes Dan Air.

Messages of condolence —
Air asked his 30,000 Facebook followers to post images of their black ribbons on the site. Many have also posted messages of condolence.

'Duty to keep flying' —
Air says many colleagues have questioned if they can continue flying after recent crashes. "Many crew feel it is their duty to keep flying; a tribute to our fallen colleagues who never made it home," he said.
