Ronda Rousey has announced she is joining the WWE.

Rousey enjoyed a distinguished career as an Olympic judoka and in the UFC.

Rousey is credited by UFC boss Dana White as being one of the main reasons behind the growth of mixed martial arts.

She was undefeated in her first six fights in the UFC and her first 10 as an MMA star.

But she lost her final two bouts, first against Holly Home and then against Amanda Nunes (R).

Rousey told broadcaster ESPN that the WWE would now be her "first priority" over the coming years.
