Minigolf —
Minigolf is a family-friendly version of the game that dates back to 1867 when the Royal and Ancient Golf Club sought to deter females from playing the "unladylike" full version. Urban golf —
The European Urban Golf Championship first took place in 2013, utilizing the city's landscape to provide testing conditions. At the 2015 edition in London, players had to chip the ball into the trunk of a car, scoring three-under par for the trunk, two under for the roof and one under for anywhere else on the vehicle.

China's Mission Hills golf complex is a fantastical course that incorporates traditional golf with aspects of crazy golf. Pictured is The Great Wall of China hole, a large obstacle for players to contend with.
