Nick Cummins' father Mark (right) has suffered with prostate cancer, while two of his siblings have the condition cystic fibrosis.

Cummins took the surprise decision to move to Japan to earn a lucrative deal to help earn money for sick members of his family.

He gave up a chance to play for Australia at the 2015 Rugby World Cup as a result of that move to Japan.

Cummins is something of a fans' favorite in Australia, where he played his XVs rugby for Western Force from 2008.

But the wing is as well known for his colorful antics -- here doing a spot of cheerleader -- as he is for his rugby.

Cummins' aggressive and fast-flowing style of rugby have earned him the nickname from teammates "The Honey Badger."

Now back playing his rugby in Australia, he says he has no idea what the long-term future holds for him.

He announced plans to earn an Olympic sevens berth at the end of last year, and will make his debut in the side in Hong Kong in April.
