Lindsey Vonn should be back in action at Aspen on November 28 -- but she suffered a small setback after injuring her thumb while breaking up a fight between her dogs.

The 31-year-old is one of the most successful skiers in the history of the sport having won 67 World Cup races.

Vonn sustained a broken ankle during a training run in New Zealand three months ago.

Vonn won a seventh downhill season title and her 18th crystal globe overall at Meribel last March.

Vonn took Olympic downhill gold and super-G bronze at the Vancouver 2010 Games but was forced to miss Sochi through injury.

She hopes to compete in the giant slalom at Aspen on November 28 after recovering from injury.
