Rafael Benitez is the new manager of Newcastle United. The Spanish coach has 10 games to haul the struggling club out of the Premier League's relegation zone.

Benitez was appointed Real Madrid's new coach in June 2015, the Spaniard signing a three-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

An emotional Benitez, returning to the club where he began his coaching career by taking charge of its youth team, shed a tear during his official unveiling.

Benitez made his name at Valencia, guiding the club to two La Liga titles as well as the UEFA Cup. The 2002 title win was the club's first in 31 years.

The Spaniard's finest hour came at Liverpool, where he won the Champions League in Istanbul. His side came from 3-0 down at half-time to eventually beat AC Milan on penalties.

Despite being sacked just six months into his job at Inter Milan in 2010, Benitez bounced back by guiding Chelsea to Europa League glory in 2013 during his spell as interim boss.

He failed to qualify for the Champions League with Napoli in his final season, but his Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italia wins with the club were enough to impress Real.

Benitez was appointed by Real president Florentino Perez -- the Spaniard is Perez's 10th different coach at the Santiago Bernabeu.
