Finishing line —
14-1 long shot Prince Bishop stormed from the back of the field to win the $10 million Dubai World Cup.

Unexpected winner —
The eight year old was ridden by William Buick, who was last at the half way point but stormed into the lead in the final stretch.

Prince for a Prince —
Buick was congratulated after the race by Dubai's Crown Prince, who owns Prince Bishop.

The gold cup —
The Dubai World Cup has become a firm fixture on the racing calender. The winner collects a cool $10 million. Second place California Chrome, the favorite in the run up to the race, will collect $2 million.

Party time —
The race has also become a firm fixture on Dubai's notoriously glitzy social scene.

A day at the races —
The day wasn't all about the World Cup. A full day of racing was to be had. The earlier Gold Cup was won by Brown Panther.

Owen scores —
Brown Panther is owned by former England, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker Micheal Owen, one of the many celebrities at the race.
