William and Kate spoke with England manager Roy Hodgson ahead of his team's 2014 World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.

A grand opening —
In his role as president of the Football Association, William gave a speech to officially declare St. George's Park open. He said: "Experiencing this extraordinary place gave me the same feelings I had when I first went to the Olympic Park."

The home of English football —
Work began on St. George's Park in March 2011. The center will house 24 England teams of varying age groups. It also boasts 11 outdoor pitches, including an exact replica of the playing surface at Wembley Stadium.
