<p>For someone so young, it can feel as if U.S. tennis superstar Coco Gauff has been around forever. Breaking onto the scene as a 14-year-old, the now 21-year-old recently added a second Grand Slam, by winning an epic battle at Roland Garros in Paris against world number one Aryna Sabalenka. It was the first French Open singles win for a player from the United States since Serena Williams in 2015. While Gauff will be going into next week's US Open as the undoubted darling of the home crowd, as CNN World Sport's Don Riddell now explains, Gauff's accomplishments have been heard around the world, and not just on the tennis court. </p>

<p>Rugby World Cup organizers announced on Wednesday that the showpiece final to be held on 27 September is already a sellout meaning it will likely set a new record for match attendance. One team hoping to book their place at Twickenham will be the defending champions New Zealand. And they'll once again be able to rely on their all-time try scorer and icon Portia Woodman-Wickliffe who recently announced her shock return to the Black Ferns having returned from the Sevens format of the game after winning gold at last year's Olympics. She's not just chasing glory on the pitch but also looking to change the conversation of it with honest conversations about girls' health and barriers to sport participation. She joined CNN's Amanda Davies from the launch of Bupa's <em>Let Talk Girls' Health</em> campaign in York and began by reflecting on why she felt she has unfinished business. </p>

<p>Former England spin bowling great Ashley Giles has unsurprisingly been a keen observer of the sensational Test series this summer between England and India, with the tourists forcing a 2-2 draw after dramatically winning the fifth and final Test match this past Monday at The Oval. Giles, now 52 years of age, gave a decade of dedicated service to his country, taking 143 wickets across 54 Test matches, and was memorably part of that great England side that regained the Ashes from rivals Australia in 2005. Giles has just released his autobiography, "The King of Spain and I: Surviving cricket, depression and the greatest ever Ashes," with more on Ashley's book coming on future editions of CNN World Sport but first up, he's been chatting about the pulsating matches we've been treated to across England over the past few weeks with Patrick Snell. </p>
