Air traffic controllers repeatedly raised concerns about critical safety issues and faced telecommunications outages affecting Newark Liberty International Airport starting last summer – months before widespread delays and flight cancellations at the airport this week, a CNN review of safety reports, air traffic audio, and other records found.
