
Victoria Rubadiri is CNN’s Connecting Africa Correspondent based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Rubadiri reports from across the African continent telling the stories of emerging and expanding businesses and exploring the impacts of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
She is an integral part of CNN’s newsgathering operation in Nairobi. Rubadiri has covered stories including Kenya’s Gen Z protests in 2024 and the trapped Stilfontein miners in South Africa.
Rubadiri played a key role in the network’s global initiative Call to Earth Day, reporting live from schools in Kenya. And she also hosted Elite Escapes, looking at why Bodrum is a hub for wealthy holidaymakers.
In her role as Connecting Africa Correspondent, Rubadiri has crisscrossed the continent, telling stories on fashion, healthcare, business, politics, sport, and technology. She also co-hosted the live episode of the show celebrating the fifth anniversary in 2025.
Rubadiri joined CNN in 2024 from Citizen TV where she was a senior anchor and reporter in the network’s Nairobi headquarters. She also has extensive experience as a radio presenter both in Kenya and the US, where she studied a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia. In 2020, Rubadiri was awarded the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award for her exceptional talent in telling African stories.
