Sidney Wright IV is the Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer of CNN This Morning Weekend and First Of All with Victor Blackwell based at the network’s headquarters in Atlanta.

In his role Sidney is responsible for setting the editorial direction, overseeing the guest booking and show planning processes and managing a team of writers and producers for both shows simultaneously. He is also responsible for the clean execution of both shows on air.

Sidney joined CNN as a writer and producer in 2016, moving up the ranks to producer and senior producer before moving into his current role.

During his time at CNN, Sidney has overseen LIVE breaking news coverage of several major events, including the U.S. strikes on Iran, the Israel-Hamas War, the Russian insurrection, the Surfside Condo collapse in South Florida, mass shootings and severe weather, often incorporating multiple anchors and reporters in different parts of the world.

Sidney joined CNN from The Weather Channel where he produced the network’s flagship morning broadcast. Prior to joining TWC Sidney worked at ABC News Network in New York and local TV stations in Florida.

Sidney is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University.
