Roshan Bangera is the chief architect at CNN where he provides technical leadership and oversight on system design.

Prior to joining CNN, Bangera was a principal engineer at Mashable where he worked closely with the data science team to prove product ideas and theories, and converted them to production-ready applications.

Bangera has over 20 years of engineering experience, holding roles at IBM Global Services India, Commerce One and i33 Communications. He also co-founded and served as CTO for Pontiflex, a mobile local signup ad company, and has acted as an independent consultant for startups to architect and implement solutions to scale up products and infrastructure.

He is a graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, where he received his master’s degree in computer science and engineering. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute in Mumbai, India.
