About

Nadeen Ebrahim is a writer and reporter for CNN, based in its Abu Dhabi regional hub.
A native Arabic speaker, her work covers an array of topics spanning politics, conflict, business and culture, across the Middle East.

She has played a key role in CNN’s coverage of the war in Gaza, Israeli political and military affairs, Iran’s nuclear program, and the Syrian uprising, as well as business and cultural affairs in the Gulf region.

Since 2023, Nadeen has deployed to Israel on multiple occasions, from where she has covered hostage releases and protests in Tel Aviv, and investigated a mental health crisis among IDF soldiers returning from Gaza, among many other stories.

In September 2025 she helped secure a rare and illuminating interview with a senior Hamas official, during which CNN challenged the militant group member on the high cost of the October 7th attacks on Palestinian civilians.

A graduate of Cambridge University, Nadeen worked as a multimedia producer at Reuters’ Cairo bureau, where she reported from Egypt, Iraq and Germany, prior to joining CNN.
