Kendell Timmers is Senior Vice President of Data Analytics, Science & Insights at CNN Worldwide, where she leads the team responsible for leveraging data to drive innovation, optimize performance and support CNN’s journalism across all platforms including digital, streaming and product services.

Timmers oversees a global team of data scientists, data product managers and experimentation analysts who deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations across CNN’s digital portfolio, building a strong, data-driven culture that informs decision-making and fuels growth in an evolving direct-to-consumer landscape.

Timmers joined CNN from The New York Times, where she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Data and Insights. In that role, she led a team of data scientists and analysts responsible for analytics and algorithms driving subscriber revenue, advertising revenue, and business and newsroom strategy. Before joining NYT, she served in key leadership roles at American Express including VP of Global Prospect Capabilities.

Timmers holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. She is based in New York City.
