Katie Hinman is VP of development at CNN, where she works on developing new programming for the network.

Previously, Hinman launched and served as executive producer of State of the Union with Jake Tapper, CNN’s agenda-setting Sunday politics show, and contributed to the network’s signature debates and town halls. She joined CNN in 2013 as the supervising producer of The Lead with Jake Tapper, a daily news broadcast.

Prior to her time at CNN, Hinman spent nearly ten years at ABC News, most of them as a producer at Nightline. Her work has been honored with two Emmy® Awards and eight nominations, an Overseas Press Club award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, a Peabody Award, and a Gracie Award. She has served as a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and on the advisory board for 826DC, a nonprofit devoted to inspiring students to write.
