Karen Bronzo is Chief Global Marketing Officer, US Networks & News, at Warner Bros. Discovery. She assumed this role in July 2023 after previously being named Chief Marketing Officer, US Networks Group, in June 2022. Bronzo leads and directs marketing, brand creative, programming integrations and strategy across the US Networks, as well as marketing strategy and brand creative for CNN globally. She also implements new cross-portfolio initiatives to grow the US Networks’ large audience share and support corporate priorities.

The US Networks group comprises close to 20 US networks that delivered more than 127 million total viewers on average per month in 2023, with six of them ranking among the top 10 cable networks for the year. Networks include TBS, TNT, Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, OWN, TRVL, TCM and others that together in 2023 accounted for nearly 31 percent of primetime cable viewing among Adults 25-54 and outperformed competitors with 20 of the top 25 highest-rated unscripted freshman or limited series in primetime.

CNN Worldwide is the most honored brand in cable news, reaching more individuals on television, the web and mobile devices than any other cable news organization in the United States. Globally, CNN International is the most widely distributed news channel, reaching over 348 million households.

Prior to her promotion, Bronzo was Group Senior Vice President, Marketing, for HGTV and Food Network, two of the biggest and most valuable brands in the industry that rank as Top 10 cable networks among Adults 25-54 and Women 25-54. During her tenure, she led a Food Network brand refresh that earned a Promax Silver honor for Art Direction & Design – Brand Image.

Previously, as Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing and Partnerships for HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and GAC, Bronzo and her team employed creative marketing techniques to build brand awareness and drive ratings; developed innovative marketing partnerships; and leveraged experiential marketing and events to activate consumer engagement. Her team also supported the Ad Sales, Domestic Distribution and Consumer Licensing teams who collaborated with sponsors and partners to grow the business.

Bronzo joined the company as the Vice President, Ad Sales Marketing, HGTV and DIY Network, in 2013. During that time, she led marketing and promotional efforts for the Home Giveaways, including the HGTV Dream Home.

Prior to that time, Bronzo was at LeadDog Marketing Group as the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Account Strategy. She also spent eight years at Oxygen Media, leading both the Consumer and Ad Sales Marketing teams, and was a key member of the transition team during the NBC Universal acquisition of Oxygen in 2007.

Early in her career, Bronzo worked in Ad Sales Marketing at Turner Broadcasting International. During her 5-year tenure, she worked closely with the U.S. and Latin America sales offices and was promoted through the ranks to Vice President, Marketing and Promotions. Prior to Turner, she gained experience in advertising at J. Walter Thompson and BBDO Worldwide.

Bronzo is a member of The Television Academy and Women In Cable Telecommunications. She was named to both the 2023 Variety New York Women’s Impact Report and Variety Digital Marketing Impact Report, as well as the 2023 and 2022 Cablefax Most Powerful Women lists. In addition, Bronzo was a featured speaker at Variety’s 2023 Entertainment Marketing Leaders Roundtable. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and currently resides in Brooklyn Heights with her husband and beloved rescue pup Ellie Mae.
